6th Annual Indo-US Hand Surgery Conference & CMC Tendon Workshop
On behalf of the Kudav-Mudgal Foundation and the Paul Brand Centre for Hand Surgery (Christian Medical College, Vellore), and the Organizing committee of the 6th Annual Indo-US Hand Surgery Conference, we are delighted to inform you that the conference will be held on March 8-9, 2024 at Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore. The theme for the conference will be, “Case-based and Evidence-based Debates in Hand and Upper Limb Surgery“.
This will consist of a judicious mix of evidence-based didactics and case-based discussions among faculty. Each session will have a topic with various opinions on a condition and / or its treatment, assigned to the faculty. In keeping with the debates aspect of the theme, this year there will be small group discussions as well as faculty panel discussions and an opportunity for attendees to interact very closely with faculty.
The Conference itself will be a day and a half of academic feast and this will be followed by a hands-on workshop allowing the participants to hone their skills at Tendon Repair.
The Conference and Workshop are aimed at PG Residents and Fellows from Orthopaedic as well as Plastic Surgery training programs; and Practicing Orthopedic, Plastic and Hand Surgeons. Occupational and physical therapists involved in care of the hand would also benefit from this wonderful educational opportunity.
Our faculty is spectacular and are leaders in the field of Hand Surgery as well as in the field of education. There will be an excellent ratio of faculty to learner and multiple opportunities for intimate interactions with faculty. The curriculum is case-based and also includes dedicated time to the prevailing evidence available, all of which will add more dimensions to the learning experience.
This year The Kudav-Mudgal Oration will be delivered by Dr. Rajendra Nehete, a supremely skilled Plastic Surgeon and the current President of the Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand. Due to his prior commitments elsewhere, he has very graciously agreed to give this Oration virtually.
